Our first client engagement: how a UK steel components and installation business built a steady flow of new enquiries.

The starting point

The client was a UK-based steel components and installation business with a capable team, a solid reputation, and years of customer and prospect data already sitting in their systems. But that data wasn't being worked systematically. New enquiries depended heavily on referrals and whoever on the team happened to have time to chase quotes that week. Some weeks produced one or two leads. Others produced none at all.

What we did

Naveen stepped in personally to take that existing data and put it to work, building and running outreach across social media, cold email and LinkedIn. It took a few weeks to get outreach fully up to speed. From there, prospecting targeted the businesses and roles most likely to need the client's products and installation services, with every response tracked through to a qualified opportunity.

The result

Over the following four months, the engagement generated approximately 70 opportunities and around £1M in quoted opportunity value, taking the business from 1–2 leads a week to a consistent 7–15 quote-generating leads a week after that initial ramp-up.

The figures above represent quoted opportunity value, not realised revenue. Final sales conversion remained dependent on the client's own pricing, engineering, operational capacity and sales process.

The engagement also included

Outbound was the core of the engagement, but a few supporting improvements helped the client actually capture and act on the extra enquiry volume:

  • Sales process improvements: tightening how incoming enquiries were tracked and followed up internally.
  • Support workflow improvements: streamlining how customer queries and quote requests were handled day to day.
  • WhatsApp / email automation: automated notifications and follow-ups, so fewer enquiries depended on someone remembering to reply.
  • Basic n8n workflows: lightweight automation connecting tools that previously had to be updated by hand.
  • SEO: foundational on-site work to support organic visibility alongside outbound.
  • Google review generation: a structured approach to asking satisfied customers for reviews.
  • eBay inventory strategy: turning the client's surplus parts and production wastage into extra cash flow through structured, compliant eBay listings.
